Use this article if PDFs will not open or print, you see a message about the default PDF program, a PDF from Anzio will not open, or you need to edit, delete pages from, or merge PDFs.
The PDF opens but you cannot see it
The window may have opened off the edge of your screen. Click the PDF program in the taskbar, then press Windows key + Up arrow to maximize it. If you use two monitors, check the other screen.
PDFs will not open, or you see a message about the default program
- If a message box asks you to confirm or allow something, read it and choose the option to continue. Some PDF errors from Anzio were fixed this way.
- Set your PDF reader as the default: open Settings, Apps, Default apps, search for .pdf, and choose the PDF reader installed on your computer (for example Foxit PDF Reader or Adobe Acrobat Reader).
- Close the PDF program and try opening the file again.
- Restart your computer.
You cannot find a PDF you saved
Check your H: drive and your Downloads folder. Many files are saved to the H: drive by default.
Editing, deleting pages, or merging PDFs
The free PDF reader can open and print PDFs but cannot edit them. If you see a message saying you need an upgrade, you need a PDF editor license. Open a ticket with your manager's approval and what you need to do (for example, delete pages or merge files for upload).
Contact IT
Open a ticket if PDFs still will not open. Include a screenshot of the error, which program you were using (for example Outlook, Anzio, or a website), and your computer number.
